Areas of Expertise

  • Biomechanical/Musculoskeletal
  • Minor Surgery

I qualified from the University of Plymouth with a Podiatry degree in 2014. Since then, I have been practising within the NHS and a private practice setting, where I have gained experience in diagnosing, assessing and treating a wide range of foot and ankle pathologies.

Specifically, I focus on the Musculoskeletal and Biomechanical aspect of Podiatry including a thorough Biomechanical/Musculoskeletal examination followed by discussion of the results, formulation of a treatment plan including personalised advice, stretching and strengthening exercise plans, footwear advice and prescription of either off the shelf or custom-made orthotics. The aim of the above is to resolve a presenting symptomatic condition or to further improve foot and leg function to prevent future problems.

My interest in Podiatry and Biomechanics stems from an enthusiasm for athletics. As a former athlete, I understand the importance of strong and healthy lower limb and foot function. This applies to specific athletic disciplines and normal life.

Throughout the years I have also gained experience in successfully treating several nail pathologies that can at times affect someone’s quality of life. Some of them by performing minor surgery under local anaesthesia for partial or total nail removal, to correct the nail pathology, reduce pain symptoms and prevent future recurrence.

I believe helping patients understand their condition is important for better treatment outcomes and management, reducing the risk ofrecurrence. Providing patient centred care and tailoring an effective treatment plan are at the heart of my practice. I have excellent communication skills and strive to deliver the best care possible.
