Vicki Nadarajah

Vicki graduated in 2003 from the University of the West of England and started her career at University College Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in London before moving on to a specialist orthopaedic post at the Royal London Hospital in 2007. For the past nine years, Vicki has been based at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust where she held the position of Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist for Orthopaedics. Vicki is an expert in the management of patients with complex orthopaedic conditions working alongside orthopaedic consultants in the capacity of an extended scope practitioner. Vicki has completed additional training to utilise the results of specialist investigations such as blood tests, X-rays and CT/MRI to assist in making accurate diagnosis and formulate a treatment plan.

Vicki plays a very active role in undergraduate and postgraduate education. She has been a clinical educator for student physiotherapists undertaking BSc and MSc programmes, as well as for international students since 2005 and has been a clinician lecturer on the undergraduate physiotherapy programme at King’s College London since 2009. Vicki was awarded a Masters in Rehabilitation (Distinction) from the University of London in 2011 and her interest in research has continued post accreditation with publications in both medical and physiotherapy journals. In collaboration with DePuy Synthes / Janessen Healthcare (part of Johnson & Johnson PLC), Vicki was an HSJ finalist in Creating Sustainable NHS Providers in 2013 and was the winner of the British Medical Association Patient Information Award for Innovation in 2014.

Vicki is a member of the Association of Trauma and Orthopaedic Chartered Physiotherapists (ATOCP) and was previously an active member of the ATOCP committee.

Apart from clinical duties, Vicki is mainly responsible for clinical governance, managing outcomes and developing the research portfolio at London Back Pain Clinic.
