Maria Chiara Formica

Maria Chiara Formica is an internationally trained Physiotherapist. She graduated from the University of Rome Tor Vergata in 2016 and contributed to published research on stroke recovery. Since then, she has built extensive clinical experience across hospitals, private clinics, and domiciliary care in Italy and the UK. In London, she works closely with private consultants to provide integrated, multidisciplinary care for patients with complex neurological needs.

Maria’s expertise covers a wide range of conditions. In the neurological field, she treats Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebellar Disorders, Stroke, Brain and Spinal Cord Injuries, Dementia, Peripheral Neuropathies, and Postural Dysfunctions. She also has advanced skills in vestibular rehabilitation, managing conditions such as BPPV, Vestibular Neuritis, Unilateral and Bilateral Hypofunction, Vestibular Migraine, Ménière’s disease, PPPD, and post-concussion dizziness. Additionally, she specialises in TMJ/TMD disorders, addressing facial pain, headaches, migraines, and jaw-related dysfunctions.

Her approach is highly patient-centred and evidence-based, integrating Neuro Postural Rehabilitation, vestibular therapy, manual therapy, postural retraining, and acupuncture. She focuses on improving posture, balance, mobility, and functional independence while reducing pain, fatigue, and risk of secondary complications.
